The legal requirements associated with educating special needs children, and/or other students needing protection from the actions and omissions of the school district entrusted with educating and socializing our children, remain our top priority. Similarly, in the context of representing clients for family law matters, the health, safety, and welfare of the children continues to be our primary goal. We are, accordingly, vocal proponents of the New Jersey Children’s Bill of Rights and have, hopefully, developed a reputation for “doing the right thing” whenever children are involved in a divorce, separation, and/or custody dispute.
Even in the context of representing property owners who have issues with their Associations, we here at D&M recognize that our client’s issues of and concerning their home, relationship with their neighbors, and relationship with the Association entrusted with maintaining the common elements and making same safe, also involve the welfare of the children residing within the Association. We are also proponents of mediation, arbitration, and collaborative divorce, for education, family, and/or homeowners association matters. These alternative dispute resolution methods all help the children, because they reduce conflict and help the parties cost-effectively resolve their differences, for the benefit of their children.
